I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out how to start this blog post but then I re read my ‘Best of 2019’ blog post and thought the first 2 sentences I wrote then apply to this year but in a completely different way…
What. A. Year.
If a year ago you told me that I would only shoot 7 weddings out of the 38 I had booked I would have gone ‘yeah SURE’ and laughed in your face.
2020 was supposed to be my year. It was my second year as a full time wedding photographer, my calendar was pretty much fully booked and I was SO EXCITED. But covid decided to show up and ruin everything. It’s been a rough year, rescheduling loads of weddings (some 2 or 3 times!) wasn’t easy, money is tight as I wasn’t eligible for SEISS, and my mood has been quite low. Photographing weddings isn’t just a job to me, it’s my passion and I miss it so effing much…
Anyway here’s the best of 2020, the best of the gorgeous weddings I did manage to photograph in the midst of a global pandemic:
[…] The couple chose the Bingham Riverhouse for their wedding venue. And it’s not hard to see why when you look out the back at the view of the Thames. So stunning. So we had the perfect location to pop outside for some (socially distanced) portrait opportunities. Joining us for the wedding was the lovely Lucie from the Unscripted Collective, and she was a delight to be around. So be sure to check out some of her work from the day over on her blog. […]
