Wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows

Finaf*ckingy. These two gorgeous humans were forced to postponed twice because of Covid but finally managed to have their dream wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows on 22nd May. And WHAT A WEDDING they threw!!

Vicky and Sam had the most beautiful ceremony with tons of tears and loads of laughter. They invited their mums to join them and give them their ‘last kiss’ (you know like before their ‘first kiss’ as a married couple, clever right?), it was a super touching moment that got everyone in tears, including me. Then they had a thumb war to decide who would read their vows first, how fun is that??

The speeches got everyone laughing and crying as you’d expect, but even more so when the bridesmaids put on a video they had put together of all the guests that couldn’t make it to the wedding because of Covid restrictions on travel and guests numbers congratulating Vicky and Sam. This would not have been possible without Greg who saved the day when there was a problem with the projector and offered to run home and lend them his parents’ projector!

The reception had a not so subtle but cute AF Alpaca theme which was a big hint at the surprise evening entertainment: alpaca racing! Sam and his groomsmen teamed up and raced against Vicky and her bridesmaids, it was a close call but Team Bride won and Vicky proudly wore the winners badge on her denim jacket the rest of the evening.

Vicky and Sam also got super lucky with the weather, the rain held off until the race was over and all the guests were safe and dry under the tipi, and the sun even came out just in time for sunset… It was freaking magical guys!!
